Stacie Martinsen is a proud Texas native who has taught Theatre in public schools for 20 years. She graduated with a BFA in Theatre from SMU in Dallas and has her Master’s in Education from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California. Stacie has taught both in California and Texas, most notably as the Co-Theatre Director at Carroll Senior High School from 2005 - 2014. Under Stacie's direction, Carroll Senior High School was the first high school in the world to premier Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera in 2007, garnering an award for Outstanding Accomplishment in Musical Theatre from Casa Manana's Betty Buckley Awards.
Stacie has performed in numerous regional Theatres, specifically in L.A. with The Hudson Guild under the direction of Jack Stehlin and locally in Dallas with Teatro Dallas under the direction of Cora Cardona. She has starred on television in “Walker, Texas Ranger” with Chuck Norris, “Ambush in Waco” with Tim Daly, “The Bold and the Beautiful”, “Dangerous Curves”, and “Strong Medicine” with Janine Turner.
Stacie is also a Lead Theatre Teacher for Keller ISD, supervising 19 different schools and their Theatre Teachers. She was on the Keller High School Band’s 2018 – 2019 Sponsor Committee for their trip in November, 2018 to The Macy’s Day Parade. Stacie is so happy to be teaching in Keller ISD in the town where she lives and raises her son, Aksel, now a 15-year old All-Region Trombone Player at Keller HS under the direction of Mark McGahey. Stacie also serves as a 4-year member of TTAO (Texas Theatre Adjudicators and Officials), and spends a good portion of every Spring adjudicating high school and middle school One Act Plays across the state of Texas.
In all her spare time, Stacie likes to travel and has come to love the Texas State Parks as an affordable family vacation option.
